For network resource management in the telecommunications field, our company has developed the specialized P31 smart label printer for optical communication network scenarios. By utilizing visual identification, it enables the digital, precise, and intelligent management of communication cables, maximizing the value of cable resources.
Digitally marking the resource information carried by cables enables efficient data entry and refined management of cable resources. This approach addresses the issues of errors and lack of identification in traditional cable management, enhancing the standardization of cable resources. During service activation and maintenance, cable labels ensure consistency between on-site information and system records, improving the accuracy of cable resource management.
Integrated Label Paper and Carbon Ribbon
The integrated design of labels and carbon ribbons provides protective casing for the consumables, preventing damage, smudging, or tearing. Moreover, it simplifies the installation process: just open the compartment cover, insert the consumables, and close the cover—done in three easy steps.
In addition to simplified installation, the integration of labels and carbon ribbons enables anti-counterfeiting features.
Open consumables, being independent and exposed, lack the conditions to incorporate NFC chips. However, the casing of integrated consumables allows the embedding of NFC chips, enabling information exchange between the printer and the consumables. Once the compartment is closed, the printer instantly reads all the information about the consumables.

Is it authentic?
Every integrated consumable from MakeID is equipped with a unique anti-counterfeiting code embedded in its chip, ensuring reliable identification and safeguarding product quality.
What is its usage status?
The printer reads consumable details such as label type and specifications. If the carbon ribbon breaks or the labels run out, the printer automatically notifies the user.
Can it automatically match the labels?
By recognizing the type of consumables, the printer can automatically match the appropriate template, printing thickness, pressure, density, and sensor settings, instantly entering the printing mode. This eliminates the tedious steps of manually searching for templates or calibrating paper, thereby improving work efficiency.
It is worth noting that not every label is compatible with every carbon ribbon, and vice versa. For instance, the P31 printer’s commonly used cable label, LQS-101F, comes in both white and colored options. Optimal printing results and product stability are achieved by pairing the white labels with the A-series premium resin-based ribbon and the colored labels with the B-series ribbon.
By integrating labels and ribbons, such multi set optimal matches are easily fulfilled. MakeID, with years of expertise in the identification industry, has developed a library of optimal label-and-ribbon combinations. Users only need to select the desired label color, and a single consumable cartridge replacement takes care of everything.
